Auto Industry Regulatory Consulting

As you know, the motor vehicle sales and finance industry is highly regulated.  Anyone who is busy bringing in more customers and closing deals doesn’t have time to read and keep up with all of the state and federal laws, rules and regulations.  That’s what we do.

AICE provides regulatory consulting (and training) services to motor vehicle dealers and finance companies.  Specifically, we:

• Conduct an inspection of paperwork (deals) to determine if state agency regulatory requirements are being met;
• Conduct risk assessments of dealerships and finance companies to determine compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Privacy Act and Safeguards Rule, as recommended by the Federal Trade Commission;
• Develop Safeguards Rule policies and procedures as recommended by the Federal Trade Commission;
• Assess compliance with the USA Patriot Act;
• Assess compliance with IRS cash reporting requirements;
• Provide assistance to dealers who must appear before Florida state regulatory agencies (such as the Division of Motor Vehicles, Department of Financial Services and the Department of Revenue) and county agencies, such as tax collectors, pursuant to Section 120.62(2), Florida Statutes; and
• Respond to questions and remain available to dealership/company representatives on a retainer basis.
