Here is a list of current training offerings:

  • Gramm-Leach-Bliley Privacy Act and Safeguards Rule Training for Managers and Staff: these comprehensive courses cover privacy issues pertinent to the automotive industry and describe in detail what dealers and their staff must do to meet federally mandated rules to safeguard customer non-public personal information. One program is designed for owners and managers and the other is designed for employees. Note: this training is required by Federal rule for all dealers and financial institutions.
  • Red Flags Rule: this video reviews the federal requirements of the Red Flags Rule that every financial institution must comply with. Red Flags are possible indicators that the customer you are dealing with may have stolen someone’s identity. Note: this training is required by Federal rule for all dealers and financial institutions.
  • Forms to Use in a Deal: especially useful to the new dealer, this program reviews each of the forms needed to apply for title and registration on behalf of your customer in the State of Florida, and other forms you will typically use at your dealership.
  • Completing MSOs and Dealer Reassignments:  teaches you how to complete MSOs and Florida Title (dealer) Reassignments when selling a new motor vehicle.  It also tells you which other forms are needed to apply for title and registration on behalf of your customer.
  • Completing Titles and Florida Dealer Reassignments: teaches you how to complete Florida and out-of-state titles and Florida Title (dealer) Reassignments when selling a used motor vehicle.  It also tells you which other forms are needed to apply for title and registration on behalf of your customer.
  • Completing Florida Sales and Use Tax Returns: learn how to correctly complete the Florida Sales and Use Tax return as required by the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Continuing Education for (Florida) Independent Dealers: this DMV-approved course allows Florida independent dealers to meet the requirement for receiving eight (8) hours of continuing education credit every two years.

The following offerings are coming soon:

  • Title and Registration Training covering powers of attorney (which ones to use and when to use them); completing the title and registration application process; odometer disclosures; and more.
  • IRS Cash Reporting Requirements (Form 8300): this course describes when and how a dealer must report cash transactions greater than $10,000 to the IRS.
  • Buy-Here, Pay-Here Operations: these courses teach new and existing dealers about the Buy-Here-Pay-Here industry. You will learn best practices that are essential for achieving financial success.
  • New training programs will be added each month.
